Meet Ruth and the Kenzie’s Gift team

Meet Ruth and the Kenzie’s Gift team name

Nic, the founder of Kenzie’s Gift, recently shared a letter to our supporters, giving you an important life update. If you missed it, have a read here.  It tells you that Nic is currently on the heart transplant list. You might be wondering what will happen to Kenzie’s Gift when Nic is unable to work.

We can reassure you that we’ve been working hard these past few months to ensure we continue to deliver our essential mental health services to the same high standards we always have done. Meet the team behind Nic and Kenzie’s Gift.

Ruth Davy – Interim General Manager

Ruth will be steering the ship in Nic’s absence. She’s known Nic for 15 years and is a highly experienced not for profit consultant that we’re so fortunate to have. Here Ruth explains a bit more about herself and her experience:

I have worked in the not-for-profit sector in chief executor/ general manager and trustee roles for 30 years.  My background is nursing with a Master of Public Health, focused on reducing inequalities for Māori and Pasifika women. I am committed to improving services for those who need them most.

In the last two years, I have become a consultant as I have a lot to give back to the community. I am also a mother/stepmother and nana to four gorgeous children.
